I got an email message this morning from a woman who has an ovarian cyst and will be going in shortly for surgery. She has a phobia of hospitals, and has been completely falling apart at the seams over it.
She said my site about my cyst was the first thing that made her smile in weeks, and that it actually made her laugh out loud! It’s funny, I put the site up originally because I wanted to help folks with the same kind of cyst as me laugh and look at it positively, but when someone emails me to tell me I had that exact effect, it really touches and surprises me.
At any rate, it’s things like this that make me put practically my entire life up on the web (or at least the more unusual bits). I like hearing that finding my site made someone’s day brighter.
