For those of you not in the loop, the mayor of San Francisco decided last week that refusing marriage licenses to homosexual couples violates the State constitution (which it does). So San Francisco will now issue marriage licenses to gay couples.
Yay!
A local guy went down there with his girlfriend to show support, and took some gorgeous photographs. You can really see the love in these people’s eyes. How anyone could refuse them the opportunity to be legally married is beyond me.
Anyway! Said guy has made the GORGEOUS print above available as a poster – you can buy it through cafepress. All proceeds will go to DontAmend.com, which is dedicated to opposing the proposed Constitutional amendment which would forbid homosexual marriage.
Even if the marriages get declared invalid or something stupid, this Valentine’s Day weekend has been a major event in the equal marriage rights movement.
I’m gonna buy a print of this poster.
