Evolutionary Witchcraft

by T. Thorn Coyle

This is a surprisingly good first book from Coyle, who is a political activist, musician, performer, and witch. She writes about the Feri tradition of witchcraft, breaking the book into parts corresponding to the directions within and parts of the magic circle. I liked the exercises she offers as well as the way she separated out the gods and tools of her path. Fascinating stuff.

The Circle Within

by Dianne Sylvan

"The Circle Within" is a book to help the reader explore his/her religious beliefs and develop a detailed, customized daily Wiccan tradition. Sylvan emphasizes the importance of having a daily practice that works for you, rather than forcing yourself to adapt to a set of rites you got out of a book.

This is a fairly short text but it's very thought provoking so far. She gives three "things to think on" at the end of every chapter, and boy howdy do they make me think sometimes!
