Friday Five

Last week's Friday Five.

1. What's one thing you've always wanted to do, but never have?

Hm... learn to speak another language fluently. Learning languages takes a lot of effort for me, especially to get anything like fluent. I've studied three different languages over the years and never learned even one well enough to hold a conversation.

2. When someone asks your opinion about a new haircut/outfit/etc, are you always honest?

Yep. I'm tactful, mind you, but honest.

3. Have you ever found out something about a friend and then wished you hadn't? What happened?

Yes. A couple of times. It's distressing, but I always get over it.

4. If you could live in any fictional world (from a book/movie/game/etc.) which would it be and why?

Man, there's a question. I dig Middle-Earth, and would love to be one of the Took clan (for those who don't know, they're the set of Hobbits who are all a bit odd - adventurous, or into reading or otherwise different from the simple, stay-at-home-and-farm Hobbits around them).

5. What's one talent/skill you don't have but always wanted?

Learning languages. Drawing. Either would rock, both would make me totally ecstatic. *sigh*

It’s also far less sad than acknowledging that you 'speak' a language that isn’t spoken, or even human, i.e. “I speak Fortran, C, and MatLab, how about you?”
