Dear My Body,

I have been doing my best to take care of you. I've cut back on work, done that annoying diet to figure out what you're allergic/sensitive to, started seeing a chiropractor, gotten more sleep, and so on. So, what is the deal with all the headaches lately? I am clearly doing something wrong as this is the second time in as many weeks you've dealt me a serious migraine which has interfered with my ability to go to work. And you've given me minor headaches so much lately I've lost count of 'em. And I'm tired all the time. What the heck? Seriously. What is the deal here??

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong (and so far neither can my nutritionist or chiropractor). I would prefer not to simply pump you full of more chemicals, as you appear not to like that either. Help me out here, eh? Either start reacting promptly to whatever allergen we've missed so we can spot it, or quit with the headaches and general crappiness.

Love,
Ealasaid.

Hi Ealasaid,

I have an idea for why you may be having migraines. A little while ago, a woman that I respect very much (psychotherapist) sent me this article about people who are sensitive to computers, cellphones and other microwave and electromagnetic fields. I suggest you take a look at this link for the article (http://www.eldoradosun.com/Archives/01-06_issue/Firstenberg.htm), and think about the patterns of your migraines. It may have something to do with your computer/phone usage, and there are things that you can do about it. This link: (http://www.LessEMF.com) has ways to protect yourself, from special computer screens to paint for your walls to whole suits of clothing made of protective fabric. Remember, it's not extreme if it actually works! I did notice a substantial reduction in my own headaches when I did not use my cellphone as much. Now I have no cellphone at all, and I'm glad of it. What do you think?

Hey, Melissa, thanks for the links! It wouldn't surprise me at all if there was something to that. I know that light can make a big difference to me (for example, I often have to turn the shades a bit to dim the light from the window outside my cubicle or I get a headache from it hitting the corner of my vision). I will definitely check it out!
