Two women each want not to be in their driver's license photos. One is Christian, one is Muslim. Guess who won her court case and who lost.
GODDAMMIT stuff like this pisses me off.

wow both should have had to get their pix taken. that is unless they don't want to drive. a driver licsence is a privilage not a right. meaning you get it as long as you don't screw up, ie poor driving and complying with traffic safety.
anywhom it's bullshit the christian lady got away with it.

There are a lot more differences between the two cases than the fact that one woman was Christian and one Muslim. For example, the Nebraska case was decided in the 1980s, and the Florida case just a year or two ago. Also, FWIW, the reasoning of the Nebraska case hasn't gone over all that well with other courts, and has been limited somewhat in the 8th Circuit (in a case involving an Amish man who refused to have is photo taken when he was arrested).
Now, I'm not going to stand here and say that there isn't some religious bias in the courts, just that this isn't a really good example of it.

I hadn't noted the dates, thanks for pointing that out Alex. Sounds like you've researched this a lot more than I have.
