Argh!Oh, good grief.
I have apparently been crap at actually checking for unpublished comments lately. My humble apologies to everyone who has commented lately whose comments haven't shown up! Y'all are whitelisted now, and should be able to comment without my approval (provided you keep using the same email addresses, anyway).

Site businessWell, it's done. I've switched Ealasaid.com over to the Twonsoft servers and filled out the forms to cancel my account and reassign the domain name over at Drak.net. I'm gonna miss Drak, but the constant state of crisis over there (and their inability to get my site working properly again) has made it impossible for me to stay.
I hope they get things back together someday in case I ever have to leave Twonsoft. :)
In other news: updated my wishlists - see the lefthand column. :)

More about my damn booklogWell! My individual archives over on my booklog are working again. What did I do? Did I beat Moveable Type with a rubber hose until it worked? No. I replaced my beautiful templates with the godawful boring ones MT comes with. Now it's working. Sheesh. So I guess I need to redo my templates from scratch, try to make them work properly this time. Oy.
Sheesh.Having received a number of messages about my booklog indeed being thrashed, I'm going to spend some time today working on it. Wish me luck.

My booklog appears to be on the fritz, amking it impossible to surf the individual entries. Could some of you go over and check it out? Just cruise around the individual archives, see if you can use the links from individual entry to individual entry, that kind of thing and email me to let me know how it works for you.

In other news, I went to Rakkasah today with the bf to see an old pal of my mom's dance. She was totally great, as usual, and we hung out for a while after before heading out. Hurrah. Slow and steady wins the race......or so they say. I'm gonna start publishing my old Blogger entries, hopefully a handful a day, until they're done. This means that when I'm done, you'll be able to browse them by category or search them with the search box or whatever.
Hurrah! My egotistical and borderline-nonsensical babblings in an easy-to-navigate form!

Blogger Entries, Hooooo!Well, I got allll my old Blogger entries uploaded into my MT database... now I just have to decide whether or not to file them into categories.
There are something like 500 or 600 entries. That's a hell of a lot of filing.

Whoa!Well, if any of you were wondering where I went for the weekend, the answer is... I spent the weekend getting Movable Type up and running!
I succeeded (with some help), and my blog can now be found over at http://www.ealasaid.com/ego/
Please reset your links and whatnot! I'll be converting my old blogger entries over as soon as I have the time to figure that out. :) At any rate, new entries will be going up over in the new location. Enjoy!

A conclusionI have come to a conclusion. I need to switch over to a blogging system that will let me write looooong posts, but only put the first paragraph or so on the main page and then let my readers click to read the rest if they want to. This will prevent clogging of the main page, and enable me to write longer pieces without fear of boring people to tears and driving them away in terror and desperation.

Hurrah for HTML!Hey, all. I've been tweaking the template again, and would appreciate any notes about browsers in which it doesn't work. It looks good in the ones I use, but I only use a few out of the zillions that are out there.

Just a quick "holy cow" post170 people have clicked from The Very Secret Diaries through to my home page in the last three days. And over 1600 people have viewed the Diaries in the last three days.
Dayummm. And I haven't even updated with the newest diaries yet, either. Gotta do that tonight.
