    During his heyday, Barney the purple dinosaur was beloved of children everywhere, and loathed by a large number of older teens and adults. Danny DeVito’s new film, “Death to Smoochy” plays to that old loathing, giving us a kids’ show host who dresses up like a giant purple rhino and becomes the target of the guy he replaced.
