The Ow Continues
But I wrote 1,738 words tonight. Go me. Am now at 29,311. Yay!
Someone knocked on the door, and they both flinched. Millicent got up to answer it and found herself face to face with what looked like aliens in trench coats and fedoras.
She stared at them.
They stared back.
She said, "It's a little early for Halloween, guys."
The one in the middle said in a soft voice, "We are not children in costumes, Miss. May we come in?"
Millicent was so taken aback that she simply said, "Of course," and moved aside so they could enter.
