EEeeee!

I have now seen The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers twice. Not of my own volition, mind you – I went to see it at midnight (12:01am Wednesday morning, yeah!) with a posse of friends and then again at 11am with Mom because she couldn’t find anyone to go with her.
I’m so self-sacrificing. Seeing it again right away so that Mom doesn’t have to go alone. (cue “awww” noises from audience)
Yes, I bravely sat there again and watched my favorite hobbits look terminally cute (and get to finally kick some butt instead of being the perpetual comic relief!), watched Aragorn look studly, the elves look pretty, Saruman look stunning, Gollum look amazingly lifelike and pitiable, and all the rest of it.
And you know what? It was such an easy sacrifice to make that I’m bravely soldiering on and will be seeing it again Saturday with another group of people.
I will refrain from posting a long diatribe about all of the changes and whatnot because, well, the chances of Peter Jackson or Phillippa Boyens reading this blog, repenting of their blasphemy, and fixing everything are hovering somewhere around the “when pigs fly to hell to go skiing” mark. And anyway, it’s a great movie even with all the changes. So there.
I’m subbing today and tomorrow and away from my computer system almost all day Saturday, so I probably will not be posting much. You have Been Warned.
