I found a new meme! It’s the Friday Foofah And dammit, I didn’t make a note of who led me to it. Crap. Well, sorry. I did find it via one of the other blogs I read, though.
Anyway, onward with the procrastination!
- Choose upto 5 ingredients from the following list, then describe what you’d make using them (preferably
edible!) :- Butter
- Sultanas
- Tomatoes
- Nutmeg
- Coriander
- Eggs
- Salt
- Chicken
- Oil
Hm… I’d be inclined to take butter, sultanas, nutmeg, coriander, and eggs and make something vaguely pudding-like. Not that I actually know how to do so, of course, but it’s nice to pretend. :)
- What dish do you make best? Include the recipe!
Probably macaroni and cheese! I don’t have my cookbook handy (damn moving!) but here’s what I can remember. Check it out:Cook 8oz or so of medium shell macaroni normally.
In a saucepan, combine a bunch of Kraft American Cheese, one can of condensed Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup, and about a third of a can of milk. Heat gently, stirring, until allllll the cheese is melted. Mix sauce and (drained) macaroni. Sprinkle a little paprika over the top, serve with peas. Voila. - What dish do you like best?
Hoo boy, I can’t pick. Off the top of my head, I love: kung pao chicken, pepperoni pizza, the mac and cheese described above, and a well-cooked peppersteak. Also babyback ribs. and Mom’s three-onion casserole. - Favorite place to eat out?
Another hard call! I love Cathay House, the Chinese place near my new dwelling. I also love Black Angus, Tony Roma’s, Chevy’s, and the Texas Roadhouse. Yes, I love to eat MEAT. Apologies to all the vegetarians who read my blog. - Atkins – miracle diet or a health disaster waiting to happen?
Health disaster. Last I heard, ketosis was hell on your kidneys. I’m looking forward (in a nasty sort of way) to the kidney failure of all the Atkins zealouts we have wandering around today.
