Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
I am typing this entry from my fresh, new laptop, which arrived Friday (although I didn’t blog its arrival, because, well, I didn’t want to jinx anything by mentioning it until I had it up and running and had all the programs installed on it). It runs like a charm, and while it will take some getting used to the new keyboard, I think it will be just fine. Now I have to come up with a name for it. Hmmmm.
I’ve decided not to make any resolutions this year because resolutions invariably lead to me beating myself up sometime between the second of January and the first of June (or whenever I fail utterly to achieve any of my resolutions). I have a habit of setting insane goals for myself and then being convinced that I am a terrible human being when I fail to follow through.
So: no resolutions. Just the same stuff I try to do every day: be as good a person as I can, do what I can to fulfill my obligations and help folks. Failing that, just try to make it through the day.
