Well, Jerry Fallwell is dead. Forgive me for not mourning overmuch. This is, after all, the man who thinks that 9-11 was caused by folks like me, and said so on TV. Fuck him. He was a bigoted asshole who used his power to push his bigoted agenda, and I mourn only insofar as he died before he could undo some of the damage he did while alive. Well, and I feel for those who loved him and are now sad. So there’s that. But I cannot be sorry that a force for hatred is gone from the world.
