My attention span is shortening. It’s scary. I have trouble focusing on one thing for more than a few minutes unless it is something actively created to entertain me. I suspect that the solution to this is going to involve a great deal of effort and be generally unpleasant. I should probably quit checking my email so often, for one thing. And I should jot things down when I think I need to do them rather than actually doing them (frequently, when i think, “I should do X” what I really mean is “I don’t want to do this thing I’m doing anymore”). I used to have a great attention span but it’s gone. I find that vaguely disturbing.
